My husband is Italian. He was born in Italy, his family coming to live in the states when he was 3 years old. Having a typical Italian mother who did all the cooking, my husband barely knew how to boil water. He never had any interest in cooking and that was okay with me since I love to cook and bake.

But..my hubby got the urge to learn how to cook after we started watching some shows on The Food Network this past year. He never even tried to grill until a couple of months ago. I started him out small, letting him tackle hot dogs and brats. 2 weeks ago, I stood by offering support and encouragement as he made his first batch of homemade hamburgers, which we topped with Pepper Jack cheese. They cooked up perfectly on the grill and tasted delicious.

Today he fired up the grill again and made us strip steaks, corn on the cob, and baked potatoes. YUMMY! This wonderful man can cook for me anytime!
