What I write: I mostly write romance, but I'm really trying to break out. I've taken a significant break from writing this past year, and I'm trying to expose myself to new styles and genres. I'd really love to write something dystopian. I've also been working on a series of short stories that take fairy tales and bring them into modern times. I took a Creative Writing class my senior year and that really interested me in breaking into different genres.

About Me: I'm a 23 year old American who has self-published himself twice. I'll soon be moving to Cleveland, Ohio to begin a new life and be closer to my fiance who we just found out is pregnant. It's going to be a strange life being a dad and all, but if anything I'm ready to make a leap of faith with the one I love so true, thusly my journey is our journey.

What I Write: I've been writing for a while now, mostly I favor short stories and compilations. I don't really let myself call myself a romance writer, but that's what I've been told I'm good at. I'm in the process of writing a novel that's dedicated to my fiance.

What I Don't Write: I write just about everything now and again, however I try to stay away from large stories unless they have a deep personal meaning to me. Anything over 100 pages is too long for me unless I can dedicate myself emotionally to it.

What I Read: I read everything, literally. I love reading and always make time for it in my life. So - hit me with your best shot.

What I Don't Read: Nothing really applies here, see above.

Can I critique someone else's work: Well, I'm not saying I can or not, but I will comment and point a few things out. I would love the same kind of attention as well.

So, I spent my Saturn Day tossing together a 2136 line item schedule for the next three years at work.

In Microsoft Project.

A schedule which fills 280 pages when printed - if it could even be printed, since the 16 gigabytes of RAM on my quad core PC is apparently insufficient to hold it all, all at once.

A schedule which will serve no purpose other than for the project manager to be able to say, "See, we have a schedule."

But that's not what this post is about.

Oh, no.

It's one thing to spend a beautiful weekend day doing mindless soul-sucking drudgery. It's quite another thing to come home at the end of that day to find that a neighbor has already put up his Christmas lights!

Don't think that this slight will go unnoticed.

Don't imagine that this insult will go unanswered.

Oh, no.

I shall be going medieval on his ass.

I got today's errands done. It took the expected amount of time to get them done too, LOL! I took J and his mom out to breakfast at that new Brownie's restaurant, and then we all went to Schenectady to pick up his pay. Lots of cops out today. I saw at least four State Troopers. We saw very low flying C-130 military planes all afternoon. Not just in that area, but over our house here. It made me wonder just where were they going so low, it's not like there is a landing strip here. Unless they were just doing excersises.
I have the kitchen all nice and shiny again, and one load of washing done, and another just in the washer.
I sold two more afghans in ebay, thank you to the buyers! :)
I have one more to go.
I had a two hour nap as well, and feel better for it.

So still behind, but not defeated yet. The writing went fairly well today, my story has become fun. We narrowly escaped epic goat raeps!

Of course, I have no clue what we will write tomorrow. Half the fun, right?

I woke a little more congested than usual. No major, it'll pass. I did sleep fairly well, once I got to sleep.
I only have two stops to make today on the errands list, but I know with J's mother along for the ride she will have more stops to make, and will turn it into a three hour thing. I should have a taxi meter installed, LOL!
Let's see what today brings.

Happy Fryday! LOL! FrYday for sure, I feel fried. Tired from the long work week. Woke with a screaming headache, sinus pain. The right side of my face is swollen. I took two decongestants with my morning vitamin and coffee. It should kick in soon.
The busiest day of the week for me will be me paying the cable bill, going to the tobacconist, if I have time to, and picking up something halfway decent for lunch at work today. I have to remember to get bottled water too. I don't like giving Biscuit city tap water. I don't drink it, so I can't expect her to.
The fellow at work that asked me to make that baby blanket is one that I have made two others for. His family is growing again. :) He said not really bright pink, pale pink and dark brown will do. I forgot how big I made the last two, so I will try and come as close to the last two size wise as I can. My best guess is 3 1/2 feet by 3 1/2 feet.

I have to leave feedback in ebay for an item that arrived yesterday too. I have one day and so many hours left on two of my auctions. Hope I get bidders soon.

I am so pleased I bought the Wii Fit. I've gone from ten stone to nine stone in around a month and a half, and now maintaining that weight. But I have a couple of questions.

I have asked for the Wii Fit Plus for Christmas - what is different about it? Does it have everything the original Wii Fit has, plus more, or is it completely different? I only ask as I am buying the Wii Fit Balance Board and Wii Fit Plus for my dad and stepmum for Christmas, but I don't know whether or not to get the original or not as well.

Also, does it carry over your weight loss history and everything?

And have they improved the graphics?

I thought I'd post a new intro since I've been away from the community for a long while and may have even lost touch with a few penpals I had originally
contacted. I would love to meet anyone who shares some commin interests in the areas of sports (NHL and MLB), coffee, restaurants, languages (French),
or technology (iPhone and general geekery). Music ranges from rock to country to pop mostly, with an emphasis on 90s alternative, classic rock, oldies

Hello!  I'm back to LJ and have made a new journal since my last one never let anyone know I updated and then no one read it etc....  So here's some info about me, if you have some things in common or just want to add me then please do and I'll most likely add you back.  I don't like being just a number, I'm looking for friends who post in their journals so I can comment and ones that will comment (aka-give feedback) to my posts.  I don't mean every post but you know what I mean!  I want to get to know some new people and since I'm a stay-at-home mom this is how I'm going to try and do it.
